We appreciate your understanding.  - Please visit our shipping FAQ for additional details.

Orders are shipped via USPS mail services. While first-class and priority services are extremely reliable, we are not responsible for mis-delivered or stolen packages. Please be aware of the delivery location. If you have concerns, please leave a note to include signature delivery, which requires an additional charge. We require additional insurance and signature confirmation for all orders over $100. additional fees apply. If tracking shows the package is delivered, we are unable to file a claim with USPS.

We reserve the right to cancel any orders that have not shipped.

Orders cannot be canceled once shipped.

Multiple Orders: We do combine multiple orders to the same address, when possible and will refund excess shipping charges when possible.

FPO/APO: We are happy to ship to our service members who have FPO and APO addresses. Our business supports our military and veterans.

Returns: Unfortunately, due to the nature of the products we manufacturer, we cannot accept returns.

Refunds/Exchanges: All refunds or product exchanged will be handled on case by case basis. Each person's interpretation of scent is different. Each soap description is carefully written using the descriptions provided by the fragrance and essential oil manufacturers, along with our own interpretation of the scent. Please read the description carefully before ordering and don't hesitate to send a note before ordering if you're unsure about a scent.

Soap: Each Hen House Bath Co. soap is created in small batches of 15 bars. The design will vary from batch to batch, which is what gives our handcrafted soaps their unique charm. Every batch is hand cut and the weight of each bar can vary. Cold process soap needs at least 4 weeks to cure and harden. This process causes the fresh bars of soap to lose a small amount of weight as water evaporates, leaving behind a finer and longer lasting bar of soap. We strive to cut each bar, so that the cured weight at 4 weeks is 5.0-5.5 oz. Please note, that soap will continue to cure even after the initial 4 weeks and may lose a small additional amount of weight during this time. The labeled weight of the bar is taken at 4 weeks.

We use the finest ingredients and strive to use responsibly and ethically sourced ingredients where possible. We also use paraben and phthalate free fragrances and essential oils. None of the products used in our products is ever tested on animals and have been certified as vegan and cruelty free by their respective manufactures. Hen House Bath Co. operates under the assumption that the information provided by each manufacturer is true and accurate to the best of our knowledge. Handcrafted soaps do not include chemical stabilizers, which often help with fragrance retention. Please be aware that fragrance can dissipate slightly over time. Essential oil soaps may dissipate more over time. The soap is still completely usable, just not as strongly scented. Shelf life for handcrafted soap is generally considered to be 12 months.

All soaps require a caustic agent to generate a chemical reaction called saponification. We use sodium hydroxide to produce the bars of soap you enjoy. Properly formulated soaps will not have any unreacted sodium hydroxide remaining and are therefore safe for use on the body. All of the lye in our soap is neutralized during the saponification process.

General Warning: It is the responsibility of the user of the products to use the products properly. Always be aware of personal allergies and irritations. Spot test all skin products prior to full use. If any products cause irritation, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Only use scented wax appropriately and using an approved warmer. Hen House Bath Co. is not responsible for injuries or accidents.
